Your Treyd payables limit can now flex with your business. On top of your standard limit, eligible businesses can unlock extra payables capacity that grows and adjusts based on the commerce revenue you route through your Treyd Wallet.
We call this your Performance Limit, and the extra flexible part is your add-on.
This guide walks you through how it all works.
What is the performance limit?
Your performance limit is your payables limit made up of two parts: your standard limit plus an add-on that flexes with your business.
- Fixed part: your standard payables limit, set when Treyd reviews your business. It works exactly as it does today.
- Add-on: additional capacity that is sized for you and can move up or down over time, available while you meet the conditions below.
You do not need a new credit review each time your add-on changes.
How is your limit structured?
Even though your limit has two parts, you use it as a single number.
- Your published limit is your fixed part plus your current add-on.
- Orders draw against that single number, and repayments free it back up.
- The split between your fixed part and add-on is shown in your dashboard for transparency, but it does not change how orders or repayments work.
Example: if your fixed limit is 100k and your add-on is 60k, your available limit is 160k, used as one number.
How to unlock your add-on
To receive the add-on, you first need an active payables limit. On top of that, all of the following must be true:
- Commerce is connected: you have a live commerce integration connected to Treyd.
- Payout accounts are matched: for every currency you use, the payout bank account set in your commerce platform matches your Treyd Wallet account, so your commerce revenue lands in your Wallet.
- Healthy standing: your account is in good standing with no signs of financial distress.
When you meet all of these, your add-on is switched on automatically. There is nothing extra you need to submit.
Set up your Shopify payout to your Treyd Wallet
To unlock and keep your add-on, your Shopify payouts need to be routed to your Treyd Wallet for every currency you use.
- In Treyd, open your wallet details—from Overview → Activate performance limit → Direct payouts to your Treyd Wallet, or the Wallet tab. Open the currency account matching your Shopify payout currency and copy the account details (or click the share icon).
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Payments and change or add your payout bank account.
- Enter your Treyd Wallet details exactly as shown, then save.
- Selling in more than one currency? Repeat for each — every payout currency must point to its matching Wallet account.
Your next payout lands in your Wallet, and your add-on switches on automatically at the next update.
How and when your limit changes
Your add-on is sized specifically for your business and can move up or down over time.
- Updates are published on a regular cycles, and also when a credit renewal happens for your account.
- It does not change continuously, so your available limit stays predictable between updates.
- Whenever your add-on changes, we notify you by in-app message and email, just like standard limit updates.
Using your limit
Placing an order works exactly like a standard payables order.
- Create a payables order against your available limit.
- The order draws against your total available capacity. It is not split between the fixed part and the add-on.
- Choose your repayment term: 30, 60, 90, 120, or 150 days.
- Your order is created and behaves like any other payables order.
As long as your order fits within your available capacity, you are good to go.
Repaying your order
- Each order is repaid in a single repayment at the end of your chosen term.
- Repayments route through your Treyd Wallet or as usual.
- A repayment reduces your outstanding balance and frees up your available limit again.
- Partial repayments work the same way and reduce your balance by the amount you repay.
How to keep your add-on active
The add-on is offered because your commerce revenue flows through your Treyd Wallet. To keep it active, keep your commerce payouts routed to your Wallet for every currency you use.
There are two situations to be aware of if things change:
If you no longer meet the conditions
If one of the unlock conditions stops being met, for example, your commerce integration is disconnected or a payout account no longer matches your wallet, what happens depends on how much of your limit you are currently using.
If you are using your standard limit or less, you become ineligible for the add-on.
- Your add-on is set to zero.
- You keep your full fixed limit and continue using Treyd as normal.
- Any existing orders continue to run to their agreed term.
- Once you meet all the conditions again, your add-on is restored automatically at the next monthly update.
If you are using more than your standard limit (meaning you are relying on your add-on), disconnecting your commerce integration or removing or unmatching your Wallet payout account, for example, removing your Treyd Wallet details from Shopify, is treated more seriously.
- Both your fixed part and add-on are deactivated.
- Your account is set to inactive, so you cannot place new orders.
- Existing orders continue to run under the standard payables process.
So if you are currently drawing on your add-on, keep your commerce connected and your payout accounts matched to your Wallet until your balance is back within your standard limit.
If commerce revenue is routed away from your Wallet
If commerce payouts that should land in your wallet are sent to a different account, this is treated more seriously.
- Both your fixed part and add-on are deactivated.
- Your account is set to inactive, so you cannot place new orders.
- Existing orders continue to run under the standard payables process.
To avoid this, always keep your commerce payout accounts pointed at your Treyd Wallet.
What it costs
The fee is the same for both the fixed part and the add-on of your limit. An order is priced as one order at your standard applicable rate, no matter how it splits across the two parts.
Wrap-up
Your Performance Limit adds flexible capacity on top of your standard payables limit. It is unlocked automatically when your Treyd Wallet is active, your commerce is connected, your payout accounts are matched to your wallet, and your account is in good standing. You use your limit as one number, repay in a single payment on your chosen term, and keep the add-on by routing your commerce revenue through your wallet.
